Competence, Confidence, Continuity...

Norman V. Lopes Incorporated, the company which is known today as Liberty First Financial, was founded by its namesake in 1968 to specifically service the borrowing needs of property owners who could not obtain loans from normal funding channels.

Right from the start, Norm preferred to practice his trade in the area in which he grew up. This is where he knew real estate value is the best. Even now, 40 years later; you will find that most of the firm’s lending activity still centers in the southern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area; better known to many around the globe as ‘Silicon Valley’.

Norm gathered local investors who, like him, understood the upcoming growth potential of the valley. He offered them fractional ownership on specific real estate financing projects which he personally deemed to be both safe and value driven.

In the early 80’s Liberty First Financial evolved into a direct lending organization as the need to speed up the loan process during economic shifts became evident. The move proved to be fortuitous for the organization as the Bay area boomed in the ensuing years.

After four decades in existence the firm has serviced over 200 million invested dollars to date. These days Norm, his son Steve, and their knowledgeable staff still use their extensive experience in the fine nuances of Bay Area real estate to assist brokers, borrowers and investors alike.
